Getting People To Visit Your Affiliate Product

Posted by vanessa under google traffic

You’ve just found the perfect affiliate product to promote. You’ve set up your sales page or reviewed it on your blog and posted it online for the world to see.

Then it just sits there.

Unless people can find it, it won’t matter how good the product, review or sales page - you’ll never earn if you can’t get visitors there in the first place.

So is there any trick to getting targeted traffic to view your site? According to the so called ‘guru’s there is - of course to find out the answer you’ll need to join their membership site and pay hundreds of dollars a month to find out.

Or you could take a bit of time and find out for yourself,  just what works and why.

As most know getting traffic via a natural search in the search engines is a big plus - these are people that are genuinely looking for what it is you’re promoting etc. And love Google or hate it, Goolges Traffic is still the most common - it’s what the vast majority of people use when searching.

There’s many things you can do to help improve your chances of ranking well in google, and there’s plenty of tools available to help you do that (particularly if you want to rank a bit quicker than it might take normally) but the bottom line is first be honest about it - don’t fall for all those black hat techniques that yes might get you ranking quickly and selling products faster but long term mean you’ll get banned - instead if you’re going to use a tool, technique first take the time to make sure it’s all above board - no hidden links/text etc. A good example of a well thought out program that will help is Google Traffic. This shows you the right way to go about it and offers genuine support and advice to get it done.

Other things to take into consideration are: have you chosen the best suited keywords for your product, have you taken the time to make sure those keywords are in place (yet not gone overboard with them - too many is just as bad if not worse than too few). When you do start getting traffic can you determine where it’s coming from (what people are using as search terms to find it) this will help you refine your keywords etc.

So before you start wondering why people haven’t visited your site and start getting depressed and thinking about chucking the whole affiliate marketing thing in - take the time to go back and see what else you can do.

Getting traffic to one’s site has always been a very popular subject. I’ve brought a lot of products from the so-called gurus myself and gotten no real results. Now I’m trying article marketing. After all, it’s free and it does get you some visitors
